Beautiful, Straight Smile With Invisalign in Moreno Valley, CA
Invisalign, Moreno Valley, California
Correcting your crooked or crowded teeth used to take months or years of obtrusive metal, wiring, and colorful elastics, but now you can get the smile of your dreams with no one the wiser! Invisalign is the #1 dentist-recommended cosmetic dentistry alternative to traditional braces, allowing you to straighten your teeth near invisibly in the same amount of time. Invisalign uses a series of clear alignment trays that are custom designed to your mouth and always slide smoothly onto your teeth.
These aligners are exchanged every two weeks, making adjustments to your smile gradual and painless throughout the entire process. Just like metal braces, Invisalign can fix: crooked teeth, crowded teeth, gaps between teeth, overbite and underbite, open bite, and crossbite. Straightening your teeth has never been this flexible or comfortable. Unlike metal braces, however, you don’t have to change your lifestyle with Invisalign. Clear aligners are removable and need to be worn only 22 hours each day to be fully effective. Eat what you want to eat with no restrictions. Brush and floss your teeth without any extra steps or instructions.
You can even go to special events without feeling the need to hide your smile. It’s time you finally achieve the beautiful, perfect smile you’ve always wanted with Invisalign! Call our Moreno Valley dental office at (951) 488-8688 to schedule a consultation with our orthodontic team.
Benefits of Invisalign
Clear aligners offer some amazing benefits for your beautiful smile that you won’t want to miss!
Some of the incredible benefits of Invisalign include:
When you need orthodontic treatment, choosing the right option - Invisalign vs. braces - is important. Invisalign provides the same level of effective treatment as metal and clear braces, but has several advantages over its traditional counterpart.
- Invisible straightening: Without brackets and wiring, no one will see anything but your results with clear aligners.
- Healthier smile: Invisalign is removable, making it easier to clean your teeth and keep your smile in peak condition.
- Boosted self-esteem: Patients who choose Invisalign can see their confidence rise throughout their treatment as their smile straightens perfectly.
- More comfortable: Invisalign uses plastic trays rather than metal brackets, causing less mouth irritation than traditional braces.
- No food restrictions: As you take your aligners out during meals, you can keep your current diet the same without worrying about costly repairs.
- Fewer dental visits: Your orthodontist will give you several trays at once each time you come in. You’ll only have to visit our office every 6 or 8 weeks so we can check your progress and prepare you with your next set.
Taking Care of Your Invisalign
Invisalign care is easy with these simple maintenance tips:
At Gold Coast Dental Moreno Valley, we want you to get the most out of your clear aligners. That means making sure you know how to take great care of them. Here are some ways you can keep your Invisalign aligners in top shape throughout your treatment: Rinse with water every time you remove them. Plaque and bacteria can harden on your aligners throughout the day. Water can remove a lot of the buildup and keep your teeth protected from potential cavities. Soak your aligners every day. By soaking in a dentist-approved Invisalign cleanser solution, your trays can be cleaned thoroughly. Always rinse them with water afterward before putting them back in your mouth. DON’T use hot water when cleaning or rinsing your aligners. The heat can warp your invisible braces and change their shape until they no longer fit.
Brush and floss your teeth regularly before wearing your aligners. Clean teeth prevent bacteria and food particles from collecting on your Invisalign trays. Brush your aligners carefully with a toothbrush. Harsh treatment can scratch, weaken, or break your trays. Use clear antibacterial soap when cleaning. This type of soap not only fully clears your Invisalign of bacteria, but it prevents possible staining, damage, or bad tastes that can occur with colored, scented soaps or toothpaste. Pack more than one aligner with you when traveling. It’s easy to misplace or lose your current tray while on the road, so having an extra on hand keeps you from setting back your progress. If you have any problems with your aligners, please contact our Moreno Valley office at (951) 488-8688. Our orthodontists are prepared to help you however we can.

Is Invisalign as good as braces?
Invisalign can be just as effective as metal bracket braces, shaping your smile exactly how you want it in 12 to 18 months. This, however, requires your participation as well. With traditional braces, you’re always wearing your teeth straighteners, but with clear aligners, you need to wear your removable alignment trays at least 22 hours each day to get the results you want in the time frame you expect.
Are there different types of braces?
Besides clear aligners like Invisalign and traditional braces, there are other ways you can straighten your teeth. Clear braces are similar to metal braces except the brackets are made of tooth-colored ceramic and the wires are thinner, allowing you a more unnoticeable look that’s halfway between Invisalign and traditional braces. Invisible braces, or lingual braces, apply the metal brackets and wiring to the back of the teeth to completely hide your orthodontic work from view. There are also certain “active retainers” that can gently move teeth into place in cases where only minor alignment adjustments are needed.
What happens if I don't wear my Invisalign for 22 hours a day?
Not wearing your Invisalign trays for the full recommended 22 hours each day won’t ruin your chances at the smile of your dreams. As long as you don’t stop wearing them completely, the most your forgetfulness will do is set back your results by a few weeks or months. No matter how long it takes to finish your treatment, however, you’ll be amazed by your Invisalign before and after!
Who is not eligible for Invisalign?
You may not be a good candidate for Invisalign if you don’t think you’ll be able to wear your aligners at least 22 hours each day, including while you’re sleeping, or if you’re likely to lose and misplace your trays often. This is often the case with younger children, and we recommend that they use traditional fixed braces instead. For some patients, they may also only need to correct one or two crooked teeth rather than a full arch. In these cases, dental veneers may be a better and faster option.
Is a retainer a removable dental appliance?
Most retainers are completely removable, able to be taken out when eating or for cleaning them and your teeth. After a few months or even a year of wearing them as close to 24/7 as you can, you can stick to only wearing them at night. There is, however, a fixed retainer option where the metal used to hold the teeth in their proper alignment is glued to the backs of your teeth. This both keeps you from losing your retainer and allows your orthodontic treatment to be just as unnoticeable as Invisalign or lingual braces.
Are clear aligners more expensive than braces?
Thankfully, Invisalign and other clear aligners have been around for more than 20 years, allowing them to be affordable. Your Invisalign cost will be around the same as your typical braces treatment, with the price varying depending on the severity of your case and the total length of your procedure. Although Invisalign is typically not covered by dental insurance, we also offer multiple financing options to help you pay for your orthodontic work without any stress or worry on your part.
